Bultaco, a Spanish company, was founded in 1959 and became known mostly for their very successful trials and enduro models. A large proportion of the Bultaco production was exported to USA. Bultaco was a very popular make, machines & spares are relatively easy to locate through Ebay, especially in Spain & USA. 1959 Bultaco Tralla 101 Engine Size: 125cc First Produced: 1959
The 125cc engine with closed crankcases was the basis of Bultaco's production until 1966. Details such as the large exhaust and an anti-slide velvet band on the seat, made this modern and elegant bike clearly superior to its closest rival Montesa. |

1961 Bultaco Mercurio 155 Engines: 155cc First Produced: 1960
During 1960 the Bultaco 155, intended for use by those who regularly carried a pillion or wished to employ a lightweight sidecar was added to the range, as was the the Sherpa N, derived from the 155 as a trial bike and the Sherpa S scrambler which employed the Tralla 101 engine. |

1962 Bultaco Sherpa S 200 Engine Size: 200cc First Produced: 1962
The Sherpa S was produced for motocross, although in its first versions it was nothing more than a derivative of the road model Tralla. Bit by bit it was adapted to the harsher requirements of motocross, with improved suspension, a more robust frame, a stronger engine and a close ratio four speed gearbox. |

1965 Bultaco TSS 125 Engine: 125cc First Produced: 1965
The need for greater competitiveness led Bultaco to work thouroughly on the development of the TSS. The result of which was the creation of the TSS models 14 - 125cc and 24 - 250cc. The most important development of these motorcycles was the liquid cooled engine, the first Spanish bike to incorporate this system. |

1967 Bultaco Metrella Mk.II Engine: 250cc First Produced: 1967
This bike marks the culmination of the Metralla saga. Mounting a new engine with five speeds and 250cc cylinder capacity, a perfect balance was found between agility and performance. The Mk2 was one of the bikes that made Bultaco internationally renowned. Equipped with the "Racing Kit" these bikes obtained magnificent results in production races. |

1971 Bultaco Pursang Mk.4 250 Engine: 250cc First Produced: 1970
The Mk4 version brings to an end a phase in the Pursang series. This version's engine was much more sophisticated than previous models. It came with a twin spark ignition to improve throttle response, the bodywork was much more streamlined, despite following the general design of the previous versions. |

1973 Bultaco Matador Mk.5 250 Engine Size: 250cc First Produced: 1973
Despite Motociclismo magazine describing it as "a variation on a same theme, but much superior to the original", the fact was that the off-road discipline was becoming what we today know as enduro - a much faster event where bikes with characteristics closer to motocross were needed.The outdated concept of dirt bikes was becoming behind the times. This was the last Matador used in competition. |

1976 Bultaco Pursang 360 Engine Size: 360cc First Produced: 1975
Bultaco’s main line of motocrossers was the Pursang. The Bultaco Pursang first hit the market in 1965. The leading model in the United States was the 250cc, but Pursangs were built in various engine sizes including 125cc, 360cc and 370cc. Pursangs were always known for their power and excellent handling. |
