Air cooled, two stroke single cilinder engine producing 11hp @ 8000rpm. This was the first machine produced to used only Kawasaki parts & wear the Kawasaki badge. |
1968 Kawasaki C2 TR Engines: 120cc First Produced: 1964
Air cooled, two stroke engine with rotary disc valve coupled to a 4 speed transmission. The rear sprockets were interchangeable to give it a unique eight gear high / low ratios making it ideal for off road conditions. |

Also known as the 'Baby Grenstreak' this model was produced solely for competition purposes & in its time was the fastest machine of its type available. |
1971 Kawasaki F9 Bighorn Engine: 350cc First Produced: 1970
The Kawasaki 350 Bighorn is a rotary-valve 350cc 2-stroke single “Enduro” bike built from 1970 to 1975. The rotary-valve engine design gave the Bighorn a huge horsepower advantage over other two-strokes of the day, and Bighorns often ran just as fast as 4stroke machines twice their displacement. |
1972 Kawasaki S1 Mach 1 250 Engine: 249cc First Produced: 1972
The Mach I's engine was a three-cylinder two-stroke producing 32 bhp @ 8000 rpm due to its superb power to weight ratio. The S1 Mach I replaced the twin Kawasaki A1 Samurai 250 & continued in production until 1975. |
1972 Kawasaki H2 Mach IV 750 Engine: 748cc First Produced: 1971
In September 1971 the H2 was a direct result of the success of the 500 cc Kawasaki H1 Mach III introduced in 1969. The H2 engine was a 3-cylinder two-stroke which produced 74 horsepower (55 kW) at 6,800 rpm, a power-to-weight ratio of 1 hp (0.75 kW) to every 6 lb (2.7 kg) of weight. A scarily fast machine in its day!! |
1972 Kawasaki KZ 1000 Engine: 1015cc First Produced: 1972
This model has an inline-four cylinder engine and a 5-speed transmission, in a 'one down and four up' configuration. Producing about 90 hp, it was the fastest production motorcycle of the era witha top speed of around 132mph. The model designation KZ 1000P was extensively used by various police departments. |
1977 Kawasaki Z650 / KZ650 Engine: 652cc First Produced: 1977
Air cooled, 4 stroke, DOHC twin cilinder engine producing 64hp coupled to a 5 speed gearbox. The Z650 had the agility of a 500 with the performance of a 750, and was considered by many to be the best Kawasaki so far. The Z650 marketed in North America as the KZ650. |
