In 1945 just after the end of WWII, Agusta, an aeroplane manufacturer, needed to diversify so introduced its first motorcycles which were lightweight 98cc & 125cc two stroke machines. 1945 MV Agusta 98 Turismo Engine Size: 98cc First Produced: 1945
Single cilinder 98cc / 2 stroke engine producing 3.5hp @ 4800 rpm. The clutch was a wet multiple plate unit that was attached to a two-speeds gearbox and a final chain drive that was later updated with a three-speed version in 1946. |
