DKW relocated from East Germany to the West after WWII, the factory in the East remained & motorcycles manufactured here were then re-branded MZ from 1955.

MZ were simple, rugged machines & many still survive, so it is well worth a look through Ebay in the countries listed below, you never know what might find!! 1956 MZ RT125

Engine Size: 123cc

First Produced: 1939

1956 MZ RT125

Air cooled single cylinder 123cc, 2 stroke engine coupled to a 3 speed gearbox. First manufactured by DKW in 1939

1960 MZ RE125 Racer

Engines: 124cc

First Produced: 1959

1960 MZ RE125 Racer

Air cooled 124cc engine producing 25bhp with a top speed of 131mph. Despite the technical superiority of the MZ 125 & 250 racing machines they never actually won any major GP events. This was attributed to the lack of funding available in East Germany.

1970 MZ ES250/2 Trophy

Engine Size: 243cc

First Produced: 1956

1970 MZ ES250/2 Trophy

Air cooled, single cilinder 2 stroke 243cc engine producing 17.5bhp & a top speed of 72mph. This model was produced from 1956 to 1973 with only minor modifications during these years.

1969 MZ ETS250 Trophy Sport

Engine: 243cc

First Produced: 1969

1969 MZ ETS250 Trophy Sport

Air cooled, single cylinder 2 stroke, 243cc engine coupled to a 4 speed gearbox & chain drive. Power was increased on this model & produced 21bhp @ 5200rpm with a top speed of 80mph.
