Vincent Motorcycles, "the makers of the world's fastest motorcycles", began with the purchase of HRD Motors Ltd by Philip Vincent in May 1928.

Although Vincent were a relatively small company, their motorcycles were famous around the world, many were exported to USA, so it's worth checking through the countries listed below, you never know what you might find. 1935 Vincent HRD Comet Series A

Engine Size: 500cc

First Produced: 1934

1935 Vincent HRD Comet Series A

Air-cooled, single cylinder, OHV, 4-stroke engine with a 4 speed gearbox & chain drive. Bore and stroke are 84 x 90mm and it has a high camshaft valve operating mechanism. External  oil pump and pipes are used on this 1937 Comet.This Comet has duo-brakes, twin 7 in. drums front and rear as standard equipment.

Engine Size: 998cc

First Produced: 1936

1936 Vincent Rapide Series A

Air cooled, 998 cc engine, 47.5 degree v-twin ohv four-stroke. Bore and Stroke: 84 × 90 mm. Compression Ratio: 6.8:1. Power: 45 bhp (34 kW) @ 5500 rpm. Top speed was 110mph, but problems with the transmission meant that it suffered from clutch slip at high speed.

1949 Vincent Rapide Series B

Air cooled, 998 cc engine, 50.0 degree v-twin ohv four-stroke. The increased angle between the cylinders on this later model allowed the use of the engine as a stressed member of the frame, which consisted of an oil-tank spine with the engine hanging below, and the front and rear suspension attached at the ends.

1948 Vincent Black Shadow Series B

First Produced: 1948

1948 Vincent Black Shadow Series C

Air cooled, 998 cc engine, 50.0 degree v-twin ohv four-stroke with a top speed of 125 mph (201 km/h). A large 150 mph (240 km/h) speedometer, was introduced. The engine produced 54 bhp (40 kW) @ 5700 rpm in Black Shadow trim & was the fastest production bike on the road at the time. The much lightened & tuned racing version of this model was known as the 'Black Lightning'.

1955 Vincent Black Shadow Series D

Air cooled, 998 cc engine, 50.0 degree v-twin ohv four-stroke. The Series D moved further Vincent’s vision of Grand Tourer motorcycles, but many Vincent enthusiasts still feel that the Series C models were more in keeping with the spirit of the Vincent motorcycle.

1955 Vincent Black Prince

Air cooled, 998 cc engine, 50.0 degree v-twin ohv four-stroke. A year before the factory closed in 1955, Vincent produced the enclosed range of Vincent Black Knight and Black Prince. Phil Vincent described it as a 'two-wheeled Bentley' and the enclosed Vincents got a lot of attention at the 1955 Earls Court show.
